Your Adviser

Financial services hold few surprises for Richard, having spent 6 years as an insurance company representative covering the North of England and Northern Ireland. This start gave a good understanding that allows Richard to “get the best” out of insurers and investment houses. He has observed how the most celebrated IFA businesses work and has “borrowed” some of their brightest ideas.

Richard MainonRichard left the insurance company side of the business in 2005 to give advice directly to clients. He joined Wales’s largest IFA business and studied tirelessly to become one of the most qualified advisers in the UK with a range of knowledge that covers all specialisations. Working with a client’s life savings is a huge responsibility so not knowing or understanding something was not an option. Richard is qualified both as a Certified Financial Planner™ and a Chartered Financial Planner as well as being a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. After a period of giving advice to clients Richard took on the responsibility of managing a team of advisers.

Missing face to face client advice Richard changed companies and pursued an opportunity to give advice “in the city” – then Lehman Brothers collapsed!

Richard returned to Chester to provide advice to the clients of a traditional accountancy practice established over 179 years ago before finally deciding to stay in Chester and build a business that reflects his competency, ethics and service standards.

Being based just over the border in North Wales with his wife and three daughters means Richard is ideally situated to explore the Snowdonia range of mountains, something he pursues at every opportunity. Richard completed the three peak challenge with some of his Round Table colleagues in less than 22 hours.
