Our initial meeting is without charge or obligation.
We are fee based and agree what work (if any), you would like us to do. After the discovery process a report will be produced detailing our initial assessment of your current position, comments and critique of any existing planning and suggestions / ideas to help put you on a path towards achieving your financial goals. Most importantly we’ll give advice on taking those vital first steps. The financial plan can normally be produced (dependent of course on the number and complexity of your existing arrangements) for a fee of £995.
If you would like to shop around for “products” after we have given you our guidance and some ideas we will not be offended. We charge for our advice and presenting our ideas to you in an understandable and usable way. This ensures our impartiality at all times, eliminates any potential conflicts of interest and encourages an open and honest long-term professional relationship with you.
If you decide to implement your plan with us then we charge a fee for arranging any contracts that have been identified as necessary in helping you reach your goals. The minimum fee is £600 so for less complex or lower value arrangements it is sometimes better to shop around or go to the bank. If we are able to help we will charge 1% of the amount under consideration to reflect the time and risk of arranging contracts. We will discuss the most effective way for us to receive your payment be it from you personally or as a payment received from one of your investments. (Paying this way for pension advice means that you effectively receive tax relief at your highest marginal rate to help towards our fees).
If we are to work with you regularly we will agree an anticipated annual fee and you can decide whether you will pay this as invoiced or whether it will be more convenient to have this charge deducted from your investment and paid over by the company or provider who administers or invests your funds.
We have three service propositions available which offer varying levels of contact and reflect the complexity of your affairs. As long as you feel you have had value for money, we don’t mind – you’re the boss – you choose.
